Our artists for Realistic Tattoos

Creating a realistic image composition requires a lot of talent and experience. Tattooing the motif on the skin with a needle is a real challenge. Realistic Tattoos should only be done by professional artists with years of experience and plenty of practice. In our tattoo studio in Lucerne, we only work with international tattoo artists who are the best in their field.

Realistic Tattoos were inspired and brought to life by the realistic art movement. The goal of every artist is to bring a lifelike representation of living beings or objects to the skin. Portraits, animals, landscapes or various objects are engraved in 3D with great detail and deceptively real.

Since there are many possibilities, this style is suitable for most parts of the body. However, you should make sure that the size of the motif is not too small. On areas that are too small, the motif inevitably loses details that are important for the realistic effect. In addition, a tattoo that is too small is often not durable in the long run.

You need a lot of patience and time to get a Realistic Tattoos, as we often need several sessions for it. Do you have your idea in mind? Then let’s start together today! We are looking forward to meeting you!

What are Realistic Tattoos?

Realistic Tattoos were inspired and brought to life by the realistic art movement. The goal of the artist is to bring a realistic depiction to the skin. Different to other styles, such as Maori, Realistic Tattoos do not yet have a long tradition. Nevertheless, tattoos of this type are very popular.

Due to many possibilities, this style is suitable for most parts of the body, whether an entire back piece, an arm sleeve or on the leg. Getting a realistic tattoo takes a lot of patience and time, as several sessions are often necessary. A 3D effect is created with the help of different shades and layers of color.

What is so special about Realistic Tattoos?

Wondering what a Realistic Tattoo will look like after 10 years? That’s a valid question. Due to the aging of the skin, one has to reckon with the fact that the Realistic Tattoo will not always look as detailed and realistic as it did in the beginning.

Therefore, with Realistic Tattoos, it is advisable to pay attention to the size of the motif. If a tattoo is small, it inevitably loses details that are important for the realistic effect.

The many small and fine lines and shades that give the tattoo the 3D effect can fade over time. It is therefore important to focus on a durable implementation right from the start and even during the concept development and to give the tattoo as much size and contrast as possible.

Excessive exposure to the sun or changes in the skin (skin regeneration or loss of skin elasticity) also accelerate the fading of the Realistic Tattoo and the disappearance of details. It is possible to have a tattoo touch up.

Safety and Hygiene for Realistic Tattoos

In addition to artistic uniqueness and the best quality, we have the highest demands on our work processes in terms of hygiene and sterility. In our studio we only use high-quality materials and tested tattoo colors from recognized manufacturers. Every item used, such as needles, disinfectants, etc., is documented using an “ink notary” and thus checked for conformity. In this way we can guarantee the best possible security.

We require a person receiving a tattoo to be at least 16 years old. The presence of a legal guardian is mandatory for minors. However, we reserve the right to decide which tattoos may still be too early.

Are you interested in a tattoo or do you already have an idea in your mind? Tell us about it. We are looking forward to talking to you!

How to make Realistic Tattoo last longer

  • After getting the tattoo, you should give the skin enough time to heal.
  • The care should be carried out according to the recommendation of your tattoo artist. This can take up to a few weeks. You can find further instructions here.
  • Skin is far more sensitive to UV rays than non-tattooed skin, even after it has healed. It is important to protect the tattoo. We recommend adequate sun protection.
  • If a touch-up is recommended by your tattoo artist after healing, the offer should be accepted. This is the only way to achieve the desired quality and maintain it.
